Q Why Doesn’t My Hubby Like Me Slim?
I have tried to lose weight for years with little or no success. Then a few months ago I made a determined effort and the weight just dropped off. Thankfully, I now find it quite easy to stick to a low-fat diet.
I feel great but my husband hates the new me. He sneers all the time and moans that I’ve become a diet bore. I’m so hurt, especially as I feel so much more sexy and loving toward him. He, by the way is slightly overweight, but I adore him. Any ideas what I can do?
A Jyl Replies:
Your husband’s reaction is not unusual
Don’t try to push your new attitude onto your husband
Q Why won’t my pals let me stop drinking?
I’m at college and while I’m careful about what I eat, I’ve put weight on by going out to bars all the time. What can I do?

Q Must I quit my job to lose weight?
Help! I’m 30 years old, 5-feet-6 inches, weigh 200 pounds and am really desperate to lose weight, but I find it virtually impossible to follow a calorie-controlled diet because of my job. I’m a saleswoman and I spend all week traveling and entertaining clients. There’s so much temptation. Can you help me?
